Marcella took excellent care of us and the food was phenomenal. I eat Mexican food all the time in so many places from Mexico to California to Illinois and beyond. Armando's has delicious enchilada sauce, awesome grilled tacos and really good guacamole. It was my besties bday so we were presented with flan..... truly the best flan we've ever had and I've even had homemade flan. Ps. The Cadillac Maggie is MMMMMMMM. Just try it. Great places to sit inside or outside. Friends. Or family. We love this place!

2/11/2024 Stopped into Armandos for an early lunch before heading to a Super Bowl party. We started with margaritas, chips, and salsa. Raul was our server and was attentive and managed to handle many tables. My wife ordered the enchiladas suizas, and I had Lupes chile relleno. The food was good, as were the two rounds of margaritas . Super nice vibe and ambiance on El Paseo. The dining experience was positive and a great place to people watch...highly recommended. Previous visit We stopped at Armandos for lunch today and were greeted by Sandra, our waitress. Sandra was very sweet and nice and took our drink order and, of course, guacamole order. Shortly thereafter, a nice young man fought us the chips and salsa right about when the drinks and guacamole arrived..quite good. We sat outside in the patio, which has fans and misters as it was only 108 degrees. Sandra came back and took our order. I have Lupe's famous chile relleno Platter, and my wife had enchiladas suizas. I must tell you that Lupe's relleno is the best I have ever had... unbelievable...so tasty. We enjoyed our time at Armandos, food, and service! It's a great place and highly recommended...

We got to Armando's early and had a great time, good service, and margaritas. YELP SHORT ANSWER: YES - We've tried to eat here several times over the last couple of years but they are always packed. Pick your times. LOCATION: For the moment they seem to be running with their COVID outdoor seating which works great, not sure if this is permanent but it is really nice and allows for some awesome people watching. Parking is normal El Paseo musical parking spots, you will find a spot. MENU: Straight forward good choices, easy to find something. FOOD PREP: Done like a pro here making a traditional dish look great as opposed to some Mexican restaurants that just plop main, beans and rice without style. FOOD QUALITY: My tamale was incredible... great food here, they know their business. LIBATIONS: seemed reasonable for location and they were very good got mine spiced up. LIMIT TWO Supersized, one is probably enough if you're not planning to Uber. WAITSTAFF: Good sense of humor, fun, and sometimes lost. Our waitress was great getting our drink order within a minute of us sitting down then she was gone. Server brought our chips and drinks quickly . She finally returned and we ordered no problem. Server brought our food in normal time and it was good. Then she was gone again. Anyway after waiting for our bill then getting them to take our card was like 20 minutes. Who knows with staffing just letting you know. This place rocks it so guessing just a staffing issue early on a Friday. OVERALL VALUE: Excellent we had a great time and had great food. TIP: Again pick your times and be aware the sun does hit you hard outside around 11:30 am (November) but they have shades so consider that when being seated.

Came here for lunch today. I had the tostada with chicken and my husband had the beef enchilada with chicken taco. We were seated quickly. We placed our order and had our hot delicious meal served really fast; it was some of the best Mexican food we've had in a while. The area we live in 30 miles north of Los Angeles has Mexican restaurants but they aren't half as good and they're packed with customers. Can't wait til we move out here next year and finally have good eating establishments like Armando's to enjoy on a regular basis.
